Two Mile Borris and Kildangan served up a very enjoyable spectacle in this Under 13 C hurling decider. Respective Coaches Liam McCullagh and Darragh Egan had their teams in prime condition and spectators were treated to a captivating contest. Two Mile Borris were a little more clinical on the day and ultimately, this was the difference between two exceptional teams. Two Mile Borris had the advantage of a strong breeze in the first half and quickly raced into a six point lead with 1-03 coming from the stick of rising star Jack Fallon. Jack is certainly a player with a very bright future. A Ronan Ducie free briefly kept Kildangan in touch. Two Mile Borris responded with two more points from Jack Fallon and a brilliant Daniel Ryan goal which saw him double on the ball in mid air. This left Two Mile Borris with a ten point half time lead, which they would never relinquish. Kildangan came storming back into the game in the second half and were rewarded with some fine scores from Ronan Ducie (two points) and Tom O’ Meara (goal). However, Two Mile Borris finished like champion thoroughbreds and a brace of Jack Fallon points coupled with a fine Darren Flood goal ensured a decisive victory in the end. Jack Fallon’s final tally of 1-06 was noteworthy in what was a fine all round team performance.
