This year’s cross country event was held in Thurles Crokes field on Wednesday 2nd October. AT 9am it looked as if the day would be a washout but thankfully the sun came out in time to make it an enjoyable day for all concerned. We had 28 athletes in total competing across 4 races and our star performers were the boys of 3rd and 4th classes. Cillian McDonagh led the team home in 2nd place, closely followed by Dillon Ryan in 3rd, Stephen Walsh, 5th and Donncha James Troy in 6th which earned them gold team medals. Other notable achievements on the day were Enya Maher,11th, Siobhan Carroll,5th, and Liam McDonagh 9th. Well done to all who competed so successfully today and thanks too to all the parents who came to support our young athletes.
