Recycled Stamps

For the past number of years the school has recycled used postage stamps.  We recently sent away all the stamps collected to the ISPCC (Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruetly To Children).  We sent a total of 4.75kg!!  What happens to the stamps?  Well read on…

1. Once the ISPCC collect over 10kg of stamps they organise with a stamp buyer to get a courier to collect them (the stamp buyer pays for this) – the stamp distributor then sorts the stamps and sells them to collectors around the world.

2.The ISPCC receive €10.00 per kg of stamps received.

3. Does it make a difference?  Yes it helps the ISPCC Childline transform lives.  The Childline service is there for children 24hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our support helped the ISPCC Childline be there for children and their families when they most needed it.  So KEEP RECYCLING YOUR STAMPS.
