The Farm

What a busy 2 weeks it has been in Junior and Senior Infants. We have been very busy learning about and working on the farm. The classroom has been a hive of activity as we started our First Aistear theme of the farm and autumn. The children are busy cutting corn, collecting silage, feeding the animals, sorting animals into their pens, building sheds, farm houses and not to forget making food for the hard working tractor and combine harvester drivers. We have been learning about the story of milk, the role of the farmer and animals and their homes. The children have also been creating some beautiful Autumn trees using printing, hedgehogs using autumn leaves and pumpkins for Halloween. We have also read some lovely stories such as Nanny Fox, A Squash and a Squeeze and  Molly, Milly and Pennyroyal just to name a few.
