September in Infants

Junior and Senior infants had a very busy September settling into school. All the boys and girls were delighted to be back in school.

We took advantage of the good weather and took our Aistear time out into the yard. The children enjoyed the use of the extra space when creating their constructions.

We also enjoyed some trips to the sensory garden. The children had plenty of opportunities to develop their gross motor skills while out in the sensory garden.

We have learnt many new rhymes and songs in English and in Irish and love an opportunity to perform them.

The children have been busy getting to know each other and this worked wonderfully with our theme of ‘myself and my family’ for the month of September.

It has been a busy month and we have many more months of excitement and learning ahead, beginning with our Aistear theme of Homes for October.
