Tipperary County Council Library Service is now offering access to Touch-Type Read and Spell (TTRS). TTRS is an online typing course designed to benefit:
o Students who experience spelling, reading or writing difficulties
o Adults who want to learn typing and/or require help with their literacy skills
o Students learning English as a second language (ESL)
Touch-Type Read and Spell (TTRS) resource tool is particularly useful for those with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD, stoke recovery or working memory and processing weakness. It is extremely beneficial for students who experience spelling, reading and writing difficulties and students learning English as a second language.
TTRS is web-based so it can be used on your own devices in the privacy of your own home. Each module is designed to be short in length with regular, positive feedback. Touch-type is multi-sensory, using visual auditory and kinaesthetic (touch) senses for a fully immersive learning experience. There are 24 levels, with 31 modules in each level.
To register for TTRS, contact Tipperary County Council Library Service Schools Service. Once you have your username and password, you can access TTRS anytime from anywhere. This is a pilot initiative initially, and places may be limited.
