We had a fantastic day in school celebrating world book day. Everyone dressed up as characters from their favourite books. Everyone went to such effort. We wrote about our favourite books and drew the cover of our books.
The children really enjoyed the Bring a book, take a book initiative. Each child had a new book going home with them on Friday evening. Thanks to Mr McCullagh for organising this.
Finally in the afternoon we were delighted when we joined with 5th and 6th class to share a book. We really enjoyed listening to stories being read to us by 5th and 6th class. It was a lovely opportunity to listen to stories. Next week will our turn to read to them. Better get practicing!
