We are currently working on the display areas in our GP Room. Ms Walsh’s Room completed a display for our School Ethos board in the GP Room for December. 1st and 2nd Class are hard at working learning about Advent. They created this beautiful display in the hall. Each week the children will add a flame to another candle on the display.

Maths Competition Winners
Congratulations to our Maths Competition Winners! As part of Maths Week, each class was asked to participate in a Maths through Art competition. Our winners were announced at Assembly this afternoon. Congratulations to Ronan, Kieran, Ava, Sarah, Cian and Faye. Well done to all the boys and girls for their fantastic entries – it was a tough decision to choose a winner in each category.
The MS Readathon is ongoing in the school and we would ask parents to remind their children to take home some extra books for the Mid term break. Our aim is to raise some money for people living with Multiple Sclerosis in Ireland and also that the children would read as many books as possible at home. The MS Readathon will continue until 12th November. Best of luck!!
Art in 1st and 2nd Class
The children were exploring the colour wheel last week. They created orange, green and purple by mixing different colours. They also read ‘Sky Colour’. This story encouraged the children to create his or her own ‘Sky Colour’.
1st and 2nd Class Novel
1st and 2nd Class have started reading Esio Trot as their class novel. They are enjoying listening to the story and making lots of predictions. They are also adding adjectives to our display to describe the main characters.
