The Community Games County Final of the U14 Table Quiz takes place on

Friday 14th February @ 7.30 pm in the Presentation Secondary School, Thurles. 

A mixed team of 4 can enter but a team can have 2 subs also.  There are no limit to the amount of teams that can enter on the night.  This is a parish based event.

This is a fun filled evening, if there are any interested teams in taking part that would be great!

Anam Cara Tipperary, the organisation that supports bereaved parents in your region, will hold its monthly parent evening on 16th December at 7:20pm in the

Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

This event is open to all bereaved parent “regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death or whether the death was recent or not. Anam Cara gives bereaved mothers and fathers a chance to meet and connect with other bereaved parents in a safe and comfortable setting. Here we can find a level of support and understanding that – even with the best will in the world – it can be difficult for family and friends to offer.”  Please note that this event is open to bereaved parents only. 
In a recent survey one parent commented that “It has helped knowing I am not alone in my journey of grief and loss. I appreciate hearing other stories and how other families cope”

The Two Mile Borris Parish Carol Service is on Saturday 7th Dec. Children to be in churchyard for 6.40pm. Tommy Healy will play music until 7pm. 

Lights will be turned on by Johnny at 7.00pm followed by Mick Collins and Choir for approximately 20 minutes.

The Piper will come from the graveyard area through the village, followed by tractors, and followed by Santa on a sleigh.  To round off the evening there will be the opening of the Crib by Liam Mcguire.

Should the weather be unsuitable plan B is to hold the Carol Service in Bannons Lounge.

Please note – Children must be accompanied by an adult on the evening

Community Games Cross Country takes this Thursday November 21st in Thurles Crokes. This competition is parish based & children aged 8 or older are welcome to participate. Athletes do not to have to be registered with the Athletic Club to attend & the competition is open to everyone. Entry fee €3 per child. Registration starts at 6.15pm Thursday evening. Races start at 7pm. Please see attached link for further details.
